Wing shooting
Bird hunting season or “wing shooting season” in Namibia runs from May until November. Hunters are only allowed to take a permitted number of birds as stated in the permit and depending of which time of the year. During breeding seasons birds are not allowed to be hunted. Hunting will take place at a drinking hole in the early mornings or late afternoons.
Birds are also quick and fast like all wild animals so the key is to be as still as possible and camouflage yourself well.
